Website shaming should be a thing of the past and here’s how we fix it
Just like a doctor during cold season, we hear the same problem all the time: website shame. It’s that moment when you want to tell someone about your business, but are afraid to send them a link to your site because it’s out of date, broken, ugly, or [insert your issue of embarrassment here].
When we first met with Jasmine, we could tell that the current Squarespace site for her company Chisel Training + Health was not showcasing her energetic personality and or representing the company professionally. She was nervous to send clients to her site because it just didn’t hit the mark. We assured her that website shame was a common problem and there is a cure!
Designing a Squarespace Website in One Day
We had the pleasure of having Jasmine travel from Charlottesville, VA to our office in Lynchburg for a day so we could build the site together in person. After switching from her current template to the Pacific template, one of our Squarespace designers built out the basic page structure and content in the morning, and by noon it was already shaping up (no pun intended) to be a great website.
After treating Jasmine to eat at one of our favorite local taco joints (and gleaning some valuable information from Jasmine about building healthy habits), we came back to the office and started styling the website. We redesigned her logo using her favorite color, teal, and implemented the same modern, fresh, energetic style throughout the site to match her vibrant personality.
And just like that, the shame was gone.
We love seeing entrepreneurs like Jasmine become re-energized with a new passion for their business as they see their new website take shape. Jasmine is now excited to share her website with others and we are taking some new steps towards our nutritional health thanks to Chisel Training + Health.
