A Perfect Plate

Based in Charlotte NC, A Perfect Plate brings professional chefs to your home to prepare delicious, customized meals. We worked with their founder to create a fresh, clean site that felt honest and dependable. We incorporated bright backgrounds and friendly imagery to accomplish this style. We also made it easy for people to understand what they do and how to get started. Visit live website →

A Perfect Plate came to Knapsack with a meaningful mission: to make eating healthy easy, personalized, and sustainable for busy people. As a growing meal prep brand rooted in thoughtful nutrition and streamlined weekly planning, their previous site lacked clarity around how the service worked—and left potential customers with more questions than confidence.

They needed a clean, modern website that could educate, convert, and scale with their brand. The end result? A beautifully built Squarespace site that doesn’t just look sharp—it simplifies choices, supports decisions, and turns browsers into buyers.

A Perfect Plates homepage uses tan, white, lime green, and an apricot pink color palette and fun hand-drawn icons to create an inviting feel.

Choose Plan Page: Reducing Friction, Inspiring Action

This page was a turning point in the user journey—and we treated it like the homepage’s strategic next step.

We knew the biggest barrier wasn’t awareness, it was confusion: “Which plan is right for me?” To answer that, we designed a grid-based layout that compared plans clearly, spotlighted key benefits, and made actions easy. Users could understand, compare, and choose—all within a single scroll.

Features we emphasized:

  • Clear tiered breakdowns of portion size and frequency

  • Scannable iconography for dietary preferences

  • Straightforward CTAs like “Get Started” and “Choose This Plan”

  • Trust-building badges that reinforce convenience and flexibility

Visually, the page felt like a guided menu—calm, spacious, and aligned with how people shop for services they’ll use every week. The goal was to move users from “I’m curious” to “I’m in.”

The Plan page breaks down the 4 purchase options a Perfect Plate provides: Starter, Appetizer, Entree, and The Perfect Plate

About Page: Putting the Founder Front and Center

Health and wellness brands thrive on connection. So, instead of burying the founder’s story in a few lines of small text, we made it a central part of the trust-building experience.

The About page balances professional polish with warmth. It tells the origin story not just through copy, but through a clean layout, thoughtful typography, and natural rhythm. Readers learn why the brand exists, what makes it different, and how it’s helped real people reclaim their time, their health, and their peace of mind.

Key elements we brought forward:

  • Founder introduction with a purpose-first headline

  • Subtle storytelling sections that walk users through inspiration, evolution, and values

  • CTAs that drive momentum, such as “Explore the Plans” and “Meet the Team”

It’s more than an About page—it’s a conversion tool disguised as a conversation.

On the about page, the founder Niki Finch shares the values and story behind A Perfect Plate

The Build: Designed to Feel Effortless

The entire site was built on Squarespace, leveraging its powerful structure while customizing layouts and navigation to reduce friction. Every section is purposeful—whether it’s showing off meals, guiding plan selection, or clarifying next steps.

We focused heavily on:

  • Content clarity to keep users moving

  • Mobile responsiveness, especially for users browsing during commutes or breaks

  • Search discoverability, supported by relevant page titles, copy structure, and smart internal linking

The Final Outcome

A Perfect Plate now has a site that reflects the ease and personal attention behind their service. It’s clean, thoughtful, and positioned to attract more high-intent leads while building long-term trust.

It’s also a perfect example of how a service business can use clear messaging and strategic layout to inspire action—without shouting, over-explaining, or relying on gimmicks.
