What We Built and Why It Worked
Christ Episcopal Church is a traditional Episcopal parish in Sarasota, Florida, serving a primarily 50+ congregation while intentionally welcoming younger families and newcomers. Their previous website was outdated, difficult to navigate, and time-consuming to update—especially weekly bulletins and events.
We designed a Squarespace 7.1 website that balances reverence with approachability. A clean, modern structure is paired with subtle nods to tradition—soft coastal tones, gentle visual movement, and restrained stained-glass-inspired textures—bridging generational expectations without alienating the core audience.
Operational pain points were central to the redesign. Weekly bulletins were transformed into an easy-to-update accordion system, reducing updates to under five minutes. Events were reimagined with image-based highlights that are visually engaging and simple for staff to manage.
StoryBrand-style messaging ensures first-time visitors immediately understand who the church is, when services happen, and how to get involved. Clear calls to action guide users to plan a visit, explore ministries, or connect through forms.
Behind the scenes, we handled domain and DNS setup, embedded the Realm giving form, and ensured a clean launch without legacy URL issues. The result is a modern Episcopal church website that feels calm, confident, and intentional—supporting both outreach and long-term growth.
